SunX to Adjust Position Limit Unit for Futures
Dear SunX Users,
To further enhance your futures trading experience, SunX will implement the following optimizations starting from March 11, 2026, at 08:00 (UTC).
I. Adjustment of Position Limit Unit
The position limit unit for futures trading will be changed from “cont” to “position notional value (USDT)”.
This change aims to make position limits easier to understand and calculate.
II. API Updates
The following API interfaces will be updated accordingly:
· /sapi/v1/public/risk/limit (Get futures risk limits): Adds the new request and response parameter of volume_unit (position unit).
· /sapi/v1/position/risk/limit (Get position risk limits): Adds the new response parameter of volume_unit (position unit).
To avoid any impact on your existing positions and orders, these updates will follow the process below. Please read carefully:
1. After the optimization begins, the platform will change the position limit unit when your account has no open positions and no pending orders.
If your account continues to hold positions or pending orders before April 11, 2026 at 03:00 (UTC), the platform will wait until both positions and orders are cleared before completing the upgrade.
2. For API users, the parameter volume_unit returned by the following interfaces will be updated to USDT:
/sapi/v1/public/risk/limit
/sapi/v1/position/risk/limit
3. If your account does not complete the optimization by April 11, 2026 at 03:00 (UTC), the platform will perform a forced update.
During the forced update:
Existing positions will not be liquidated
Existing orders will not be canceled
4. During the forced update, due to the change of the position limit unit, maintenance margin tiers may fluctuate. This could impact your position's margin ratio and liquidation price, leading to increased liquidation risk.
It is strongly advised to manage your positions and orders proactively before the update. Users will be responsible for any losses incurred. 5. If the forced update schedule changes, SunX will publish a separate announcement in advance.
